Master Zhao Changjun
Master Zhao became a multi-time All-Around Champion at the China National Wushu Championships in 1985 and 1986 Invitational World Championships and the 1987 Asian Wushu Championships.
Beyond standard longfist, he was world-renowned for his mastery of Ditangquan.
Master Zhao’s incredible physical charisma and fame led him straight to the golden era of martial arts cinema.
In 1991, he founded the Zhao Changjun Wushu Institute in his hometown of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province.
He was officially named one of the Top 100 Chinese Martial Artists by the Chinese Wushu Association, securing his place as an eternal pillar of the sport.
Master Sitan Chen
Master Chen earned the nickname "Prince of Taiji" (太极王子) because of the sheer elegance, flawless precision, and artistic beauty of his forms. His execution of both Yang-style and Chen-style Taijiquan redefined the standard for modern competitive Tai Chi.
Master Chen captured 32 gold medals in major national and international tournaments. He won consecutive World Wushu Championships (1993 in Kuala Lumpur and 1997 in Rome) and dominated China’s National Games.
Based in New York, he founded Sitan Tai Chi and Martial Arts and serves as the Chairman of the America Tai Chi Health Qigong Corp.
Master Chen is one of the key global architects responsible for standardizing Health Qigong routines and developing the international ranking and grading systems used across the world today.
He Qiang
He Qiang (何强) represents the absolute peak of modern, explosive powerhouse Wushu from the 1990s.
Widely known by his legendary nickname, the "King of Nanquan" (南拳王), He Qiang is one of the most celebrated retired professional Wushu taolu (forms) athletes in China’s history.
He Qiang was gold medalist for China in the Men's Nanquan event at the 1990 and 1994 Asian Games, and 1993 World Wushu Championships.
Lai Xiao Xiao (Sunny Lai)
Lai Xiaoxiao is celebrated for achieving a true "Grand Slam" in modern Wushu taolu (forms) competition winning gold medals at the World Wushu Championships (2015), the China National Games (2021), the 11th World Games (2022) and the Asian Games in Hangzhou (2023).
Her spectacular performances led to her being named the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) Athlete of the Year in 2022.
In 2024, she was unanimously elected as the Chair of the International Wushu Federation Athletes' Committee, earning a seat on the IWUF Executive Board to represent the global voice and rights of martial artists.
The IWUF and Olympic organizers selected Lai Xiaoxiao as an official Athlete Role Model to mentor, support, and workshop with the young athletes competing in Senegal.
Master Hu Bao Lin
Master Hu is a legendary practitioner, coach, and administrator who recently achieved one of the highest possible honors in the martial arts world. In April 2025, Master Hu Baolin was officially awarded the 9th Duan (九段) rank by the Chinese Wushu Association.
He was appointed head coach of the Yunnan Wushu Team in 2002, producing multiple Asian and World Champions
He serves as the Chairman of the Yunnan Wushu Association. Under his leadership, he has spearheaded massive initiatives to integrate traditional martial arts into public school systems and preserve historical styles like Yunnan Chaquan and Yanqingquan as recognized cultural heritage.
Master Shi Xing Hong
Master Shi Xinghong trained at the Shaolin Temple under strict, traditional temple conditions, practicing intense iron body conditioning, and mastering both external combat forms and internal Qi Gong.
In the late 1990s, he settled in Budapest, Hungary, where he founded the Chan Wu Federation (Chánwǔ, combining "Chan" for Zen Buddhism and "Wu" for martial arts).
What set Master Shi Xinghong apart from simple performance artists was his deep respect for the combative and philosophical roots of Kung Fu. He frequently emphasized in interviews and seminars that while forms are beautiful, the true essence of Shaolin lies in inner peace, mental resilience, and understanding the mechanics of self-defense.

About Our Competition
The Longhorn International Wushu Kungfu Championships is a cultural martial arts event dedicated to promoting wushu and all styles of traditional kungfu, including both external and internal systems. The event provides athletes from different schools and backgrounds an opportunity to make friends through martial arts, uphold principles while embracing innovation.
Our goal is to create a fair, welcoming, and inspiring competition environment where participants can challenge themselves, build confidence, and celebrate the richness of traditional martial arts together. The championships encourage youth engagement, cultural exchange, sportsmanship, and community connection while showcasing the diversity and heritage of kungfu.
To promote continuous learning and celebrate excellence and dedication, we have 3 cash prizes and up to 90 grand champions to give away. In addition, medals will be awarded to top 10%, 20% and 30%. Check out our regulations for more information.
